Nina Tatarowicz
Nina Tatarowicz has been on the cutting edge of the Argentine Tango dance scene for over 10 years.  Captivated by tango’s soulful expression as a partner dance, she lived, taught and danced in Buenos Aires for a number of years before establishing herself as an Argentine Tango teacher, performer and event organizer in Chicago, IL.   Nina returns to Buenos Aires at least once a year both for inspiration as well as for opportunities to participate in artistic endeavors in the tango community.  Many people have participated and enjoyed her annual "Tango Tour" where she shares the richness of the Buenos Aires’ tango culture with her own community in the US.
Drawing from the roots of tango’s past, Nina's dance infuses traditional elements of Tango with a contemporary feel.  Her strong background in partner dance, musicality and body conditioning work through yoga and Gyrotonic contributes to her unique style.  Nina incorporates the principles of breath, rhythm and elasticity to create the organic movement and connection that is characteristically Nuevo.  Her teaching style incorporates these elements to help her students understand the technique behind the movement.  By breaking down the patterns to their improvisational roots, she provides the tools for dancers to express their own personality in the dance.  ding instructors of the Milwaukee tango community established in 2002.  Since then, she has taught in Buenos Aires, the Middle East and around the US.  Currently, Chicago is Nina's "sweet home" for tango where she teaches, organizes events and performs.
